Your Family Deserves Safety
Become a member of Fremantle Volunteer Sea Rescue Group is peace of mind.
Through no fault of your own even the best of mariners may at times need a little assistance. Our work is not always about emergencies, a large percentage is the simple out of fuel, flat battery or someone wanting a tow to the boat lifters.
10 minute call out time.
Provides a 24hr 365 days a year radio coverage for sail plans, weather updates, tidal information and calls for assistance.
- Members receive discounts on all training courses.
- 35 years experience in rescues and breakdown assistance, providing one of the most efficient services in Australia.
- Our boats have expertise on board for mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and where possible assist to fix your problem rather than tow.
- Members will also be towed back to safety (home port) from safe ports such as Rottnest Island.
- The group has 3 dedicated rescue vessels, manned by 45 volunteers. Recognising that weather conditions off our coast can change in a very short time our vessels are strategically placed at Fremantle, Rottnest Island and Swan River to ensure the fastest response to vessels requiring assistance.
- We are not just about emergencies. We are also available to assist should your vessel require transfer to the boat lifters or to another pen.
- Your membership goes towards ensuring the continuation of a valuable and much needed service.

Organisations supported by volunteers and private contributions have an advantage of being independent from government control. The services that we provide can therefore be tailored to meet the needs of the local community, not the priorities of a distant government.
